Destroyed school buildings
Haiti Futur has not counted any deaths among its local teams. However, there has been report of serious damage in the buildings housing our partner schools!
As we did after the passage of Hurricane Matthew in 2016, we want to bring our contribution to the reconstruction of the schools in the South by quickly mobilizing the teams. An on-site team has begun to undertake some actions on the priority issue of access to drinking water.
The tasks for the coming days will consist of:
Making an inventory of the damage in the partner schools of Haiti Futur all over the South and estimate the work to be carried out.
Helping to rehabilitate some thirty schools before the start of the school year. We will give priority to schools where the work can be carried out quickly in order to possibly be able to welcome, in the afternoon, students from nearby schools.
Strengthening our support for schools that are already partners in the digital education program with the Interactive Board.
